embRACE LA Hosts 100 Dinners to Discuss Race

In April Todd Hawkins worked with embRACE LA to help produce 100 free dinners in homes throughout the 15 council districts that make up the City of Los Angeles. Each dinner consisted of a chef, a gathering of 10 neighbors, and a thoughtful dialogue centered on one of the most important topics of our time: Race.

embRACE L.A. is an initiative aimed at unifying Angelenos and empowering communities through a citywide conversation about race and racism challenging and changing inequities. embRACE LA is a citywide initiative launched during fall 2016 by Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson and Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell.
